Dr Richardson is Awesome, took time to make me feel comfortable in making this very important life changing experience a reality. Wish I could say the same bout his support staff. I have never felt so unimportant to anyone in my life. Especially a medical staff. I will finish my review if and when my orders for procedure actually get to hospital so I can plan diet and pre-register for surgery that was told will happen in 5 short days.
My husband and I chose a consultation with WLIA for lap-band surgery based off the recommendations from other nurses and they were right! From the moment we walked in the door, you could see from all the little touches that this doctor's office was different. About half of the chairs in the lobby were build for larger folks which was a relief for anyone that has had the horrible experience of trying to be comfortable in a chair that is too small. I feel so lucky to have found WLIA. I had gone to other consultations but after my first experience with the staff at WLIA I did not look any further. During what seemed to be confusing pre-op requirements, the staff were always on had to assist - making the process go smoothly. I had the Gastric Sleeve done 07/23/15 and have been happy with the initial results and the support of the WLIA staff.
I am so excited to join this program! The office is full of personal encouraging workers .... Also they are all for the patients healthy living ....
WLIA walked me through the entire process. From my PreOp Diet, to the day of surgery, and to the present - 2 years later and 90 pounds down! I have nothing negative to say about WLIA and their team. Do yourself a favor and give them a call. They can help with any questions you have. Remember it is a process, its not overnight weight loss. We are here to get healthy and active. Make sure you go to a support group when you need extra motivation!
Dr. DeBarros is great. Although he was not my main doctor, I saw him at this office and he was helpful and knowledgeable.
