About this business
Adult Family Care Homes of Maine was founded in 1999, by our Administrators, John & Rhonda Chambers of Calais, Maine. They saw a need to help bridge the gap in ederly independence. Due to the overcrowding of Nursing Homes, the State of Maine launched a new endevour designed to offer our aging Maine citizens alternatives to nusing home care. It's not so much the facility itself, it's more the House Manager and some staff I know many of the staff there. Most of the staff care and do everything they can to give the best care the residents deserve. A few of the staff are very lazy and cut corners often, and that's including the House Manager. The house Manager is horrible. She has denied food, care, hospital visits, etc. She favors certain residents and allows them to do whatever they want. Very poorly run business. My mother came out last wk was taken to er with breathing problems. She had been wearing long sleeve tops.After being changed into johnny at er doctors discovered bruises on her arm in the shape of a lg hand print.She went in with a 32 inch tv and came out without one.They refuse to give it back.She wasn't given dinner one night because she was to weak from lack of fluids to go have dinner. I LOVE HOW THEY ILLEGALLY DO STUFF WHEN I HAVE PHOTOS OF WHAT THEY DO????? NOT TO MENTION I HAVE OVER 10 PEOPLE THAT SAY THE SAME ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND ILL BE MAKING POSTS ABOUT THIS COMPANY!!! AND ILL BE REPORTING THIS COMPANY TO THE STATE EVERY MONTH!!!
