Ed Hay is fantastic to deal with. He got me through a very complex bankruptcy case with a minimum of difficulty. Unfortunately, this is the route many people are having to take in these difficult economic times. He made me feel like I was doing the right thing for my family and for myself. He was very efficient with a wonderful office staff. Jean, especially, stands out as a very capable and competent employee. I had Ben (Pitts) a little over a year ago as my attorney and he was great. He made everything very easy, knew what he was doing, was very helpful whenever I had any questions, got everything handled smoothly and made sure I had all of my info correct and ready for court, and even now if I have any issues hes willing to help.
Be really careful with this attorney. If youre doing something simple like a name change or a house closing, then this attorney is OK, but if there are other parties involved (i.e. divorce), Hugenschmidt can be extremely shady to the person he is representing. In other words, its possible for him to be manipulated/bribed by the other party involved. I would advise using another attorney such as Carol Andres before hiring Hugenschmidt.
