Observed a driver of a Pioneer Transportation bus drive over double yellow lines into the lane of oncoming traffic outside of a charter school in the Bronx,NY at dismissal. I would have thought that school bus drivers would be held to a higher standard and would want to perform their job with some degree of professionalism. That definitely was not the case today here in the Bronx. Being in a rush does not excuse poor decisions made behind the wheel. Especially when the safety of our loved ones is at stake.
This bus service should be shut down, they are unprofessional and don't show up. When they show up they are late and rude about it, the bus is empty, why are you 30 min late? When you call they do not answer or answer and hang up on you. When you get someone on the phone they are rude and have a nasty disrespectful attitude. I do not recommend this company for new drivers trying to start a career. Lack of information is shared with the new driver. You basically have to figure things out as you go. The company basically assigned one particular dispatcher that’s in control of everything. She doesn’t follow the proper channels to do the job correctly. Drivers are left to figure things out themselves.
