Pinkston's Turf Goods In 1937 Mr. Pinkston bought The Pinson Shop, at the corner of Short and Broadway Streets in Lexington, Kentucky. The shop was a general repair and hardware store. He renamed the shop Pinkston's Turf Goods and opened a harness shop in the back of the store. In 1945 his son-in-law, Paul Ladd, Sr. began running the harness shop.
