I worked in pinewood and the care, food and cleanliness is absolutely amazing this residential home is 5* just wish it would accept rest bite.
from the reviews it seems to be a good care home in the tradional sense. however when it opened in the 1970 s there was an ambitious and creative plan for it to be an assessment centre with short term care and day care utilising the facilities to the maximum. unfortunately the local management were not up to the task and failed to support the on site team. The design was good for the purpose but politics were not! .
My mother enjoyed the time she spent in Pinewood, the staff were very caring attentive, pleasant and went out of there way to make her feel good. It would be a crime if this facility every closed .
