Joy and her brother were very friendly and knowledgeable. Their gold prices are great — and they have a great selection of everything from tools, guitars, guns, and gold, as a real pawnshop should! We’re just passing through, but this is definitely a must if you’re passing through Pagosa and Durango.
I have really come to loathe shopping at the big chain pawn shops. Give me the old-school pawn brokers any day! I was passing through town when I stopped by only an hour before closing and immediately struck up a conversation with the owner, who ended up giving me a deal I couldn't refuse. Lol. So I purchased a firearm and had it sent back home to Texas. Joy, his daughter, did the paperwork while he closed up shop. Super simple. Good people own and run this place, I recommend.
Got my first gun at that place, fair price, and good people. I definitely would buy there again....oh wait, I will!
