We have a $50 gift card to Pier 1. The card says “this card will never expire.” We we’re told due to them going out of business in the next few months they are no longer accepting gift cards. So they were able to pocket $50 that was given to them to ensure that $50 was used exclusively at their store, with no exchange of goods. The store is still currently in business. No offer to right the situation, just took the $50. Wow...
