This judge discriminated against me in my case…forcing me to go all the way to the appellate courts to overturn his orders on abuse of discretion. I won the case…but the appellate courts wanted Smola to update his decision process. This was so sad for my child…because we split the custody 50/50 out of fear that Smola’s poor judgment would interfere in the safety of my child. So my luck was not on my side the day of my child support court day. I get this judge who apparently just does whatever he wants to do. The whole time he's laughing and having a good time. He asks the other parent who is a man, what he was willing to pay. Without verifying income, martial status etc. So of course the father gives him the lowest amount and boom that's my judgment. It seems he is all for the man no matter what he has or hasn’t done !! He seems like he is NOT partial to women And I said this the first time I saw him in action !!! How can he be investigated because it does not seem like he is putting the best interest of the child First. He just condones what ever the man is doing even if it’s not good for the child !!!! Maybe it’s about time he retires !!!

Judge Smola abuses his power and intimidates. He discriminates against women and has no place as a Judge in the Family Court System. There is an environment of the Good Old Boys network in his courtroom. Beware.

Judge Peter Smola abuses his power on the bench, he has actually ordered a custodial parent (who happens to be a woman) to pay child support to the non-custodial parent & custody has never changed. So much for our legal system and "looking out for the best interest of the child"
