Great local Butcher high-quality Mate
Disgusted to find out that Peter Bouchier’s meat are all Halal prepared, meaning an animal would have had their throat cut instead of traditional stunning method (immediate kill/kinder), then leaving out to bleed out. This process intensifies and prolongs the animal suffering. After years of supporting this brand, I no longer will be. Look instead for traditional butcher boutique shops only if you prefer non Halal meat.
Love this place! The meat is always super fresh, the staff are legends, and the service is quick even when they’re busy. You can really taste the quality. If you want reliable, top-notch cuts, this is the butcher to go to.
Ive been shopping here for a few years and although the products are good, whenever I shop here I have noticed especially as of late that the staff talk to eachother disrespectfully which makes me feel uncomfortable as a customer. A friend of mines son worked there for over a year and he had to leave due to the incessant gossiping and awful work place culture, this is something that should be addressed
