A good store for basics. This is a new store with a large selection of products. It has the type of customer service you'd expect in a large chain store, but for basic supplies its okay. PROS: Good location on a main street, large selection. CONS: Less than great customer service.
mouthy jennifer Jennifer, Mind your own business. No one said my dogs live outside. They live inside and are well taken care of. Both bathed and groomed. This probelm with their hair happened in a short span when I was deathly ill and unable to take care of them. IF my dogs were indeed neglected or abused, THEY SHOULD HAVE REPORTED IT AND NOT TAKEN MY MONEY. now SHUT UP!
PETCO ROCKS! Petco and the Petco Grooming Salon do an excellent job with the dogs and cats in their care. We have used them on several occassions for our personal pets, as well as foster pets. The staff is courteous and helpful, and truly care about the animals in their care. I cannot express in words how wonderful this team truly is. Petco+++ Petco grooms my dog every month and so far they have done a wonderful job. They are nice when I drop him off and the customer service has been top notch. I appreciate the service.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SVC I have two young male shih tuzs that live on a farm, they love to play in the cow pastures. For years having been taking many dogs to PetCo I WAS always well pleased, but this last trip was my LAST trip!!!!! I phoned ahead to schedule appt, told them the dogs condition from the winter and their farming activities, the day of the appt, phoned to remind them of the mess they were in and needed extra time, was that okay. my oh my. My expierences with the grooming salon have been similar. My animals look great. I did find a tick in my dogs ear the last time afterwards, which meant it was there on the way in, even with advantage flea/tick medication. Seeing employees outside smoking then just sitting around talking to be a turnoff especially when I've waited all day.
Unsatisfied I took my dog in to be groomed, I scheduled an appointment for first thing in the morning and was told my dog would be finished at a certain time and when I came back to pick my dog up he was not near ready. To me that is just terriable business for a franchise to conduct.
Big Mouths=Lost Business I am the mommy of a solid white Schnauzer that I recently adopted from the Cookeville Animal Shelter and was considering Petco's grooming service for her, but after reading all the comments from customers AND the rude, disrespectful mouth and lack of professionalism and maturity from the employees (Jennifer in particular!), quite frankly, you ALL scare me and in no way would I feel comfortable leaving my baby in the hands of such people... she's been through enough!!! Routine change needed It took them 5 hours to groom my dog. I was pleased with the cut but I do believe they should change the way they do business. I live out of town and 5 hours was a long wait for my dog to be groomed. I understand they start other dogs and take breaks, etc. while they are grooming your dog.
