The people who work here are great, I had several fish die,due to ich,parasites. The manager was very helpful with ideas on things to help me,he also gave me ( free of charge.)a few of my fish I lost. He was very kind and helpful.
petworld is awsome It was great i got an african fat tailed gecko from here. it got sick from heat sickness but it wasent the pet stores falt i brout it back to the pet store and they nursed him back to health . the employies were awsome and helped me with the cages problems. i whould and have sugjusted it to friends i also love there childrens programs. a suggestion dont overheat a cage it will privent it from eating
Outstanding Pet Store! I have to wonder if "Anonymous" visited the same pet store that I have come to love over the years. The staff has always been EXTREMELY helpful, and the facilities are always clean and the animals well cared for. I have visited many other pet stores without the standards exhibited here. This business is an asset to the community because they involve kids and welcome visiting with the animals whether or not we buy anything that day. My daughter LOVES it there!
Sick Animals My wife and I have recently bought a gecko from Pet World that was sickly in hopes that we would save it. The employee's there were very inexperienced and not very helpful and were denying the fact that this leopard gecko was on the verge of death, which has sense died. My wife was extremely sad when seen the care for their other live animals as well. Their birds are not friendly and dirty. their small animal bins smell horrible. Poor animal knowledge Only speaking for the hamsters - this business doesn't know what they are talking about. They don't know the proper breed names for their hamsters and house them in poor conditions. Often when I have visited many are dehydrated and look ill. Syrian, or teddy bear hamsters are solitary and need to live alone or they will kill each other and they send them home in pairs daily. Bravo...5 Stars! My wife and I have been to Pet World three times this year. Everytime, it's a new experience. Yes, they are more expensive then Pet Smart, or other major pet retailers, but their knowledgeable staff, excellent livestock exhibits, and friendly, local atmosphere are worth paying for. There is always something new, and they pay attention to your needs.
Pet World I have always found the staff VERY helpful. I have not bought anything but fish and supplies there. Every time I have a question the fish staff takes their time in answering all my questions. For the most part they know what they are talking about. they few times I have corrected the staff they have been new to the job/very young, and have double checked with someone with more knowledge
Much Improved Pet World is much improved to the sad conditions it used to see 5-10 years ago. Their selection of animals has dwindled to only fish and small animals but they have more products than ever before in stock. The employees are very helpful and friendly. A downside is that the parking lot is small and not very well taken care of.
Great Service, Quality Products Pet World offers a wide selection of pet products and they offer small animals for sale. Pet World used to have problems in the past but the store is kept clean now and the animals look healthy. The employees are very friendly and helpful. This is the best pet store located in Lawrence.
