I went to Persia Market on Lonsdale 20th today to buy their pepperoncini pickles. I usually get them from the Persia Marine Drive location, but this time I decided to try this one. Big mistake. The pepperoncini had no flavor at all. it literally tasted like plain water, with only a tiny bit of chili heat. I am not sure how they expect people to carry their groceries, but they told me today when I had my own grocery bag from shopping at City Market that I could not bring my own bag in. I pointed out that I had been shopping somewhere else before I came to their store. That is absolutely ludicrous for a business to try to tell people they cannot carry their own grocery bags. I’ve been very disappointed with this store. The meat I bought here had already changed color and seemed spoiled – I had to throw it away twice. The vegetables are also of extremely poor quality. Unfortunately, the overall freshness and product standards are very low, and I cannot recommend shopping here.
