I would recommend Maura Lazzo specifically. Speech therapy is not one-size-fits-all, even at the same practice we have a very different experiences. Our child has apraxia and we have been through several SLPs. It was very hard to find a good one. Speech therapy is supposed to be fun for young kids and they are suppose to piggyback off the child’s interest. I found that as soon as the apraxia diagnosis came in to play fun went out the window. If they are out of network for your insurance do not use them! Their billing department is awful and they do not work with you to get reimbursed.
My daughter Laila has been with Performance Pediatrics for 2 years and we couldn’t be happier with progress she has made! So much attention to detail and love, every therapist is so incredible.
