There are so many great bike shops in Chico. But Performance caters to my particular needs, and their staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They carry lots of stuff, but the advice they provide is priceless! Charlie is the best repair guy I've ever met. A-Main is my all-time favorite bike shop.
A friend of mine has gotten her son a new bike(Not from Performance) and they got he front brakes setup. The staff at Performance goes way above what you would expect from a bike shop. I had purchased my Giant Talon E from them and they have help so much. If you are looking for a bike or need help with a bike you own there is no better bike shop staff then the crew at Performance!!!
Competitive pricing, fast delivery on my new Specialized Turbo Levo 3, love it! I mistakenly ordered the wrong size--NO PROBLEM!! Ryan & co. @ Performance Bicycle sent a size up bike out to me as I was shipping the original back...all on them! They said, "we want you to have a great 'new bike' experience." Well, I did! Performance Bicycles is my new favorite bike store and service center in Chico. Here's why: as an older athlete returning to cycling after a several-year hiatus, I very much appreciate the staff at Performance. They are knowledgeable, generous, helpful, and never exhibit a hint of the arrogance that I have experienced in other shops in the past. Darnell and Frankie are particular standouts in this respect. Efficient, kind, competent, and enjoyable to work with. 5-Stars for sure!
The guys down here were super helpful and very quick! I love that there is a couch waiting area for me and the toddler to lounge out on while we schmoozed with the friendly staff.
