If I could give a negative star I would. Met with the notary to have some documents notarized. New to Massachusetts and don’t have a local bank account. The notary asks me if I have an account, which I don’t, because I repeat I’m new to the area (and told her that). She understandably tells me she cannot notarize without an account and I ask to open one. She says, “no. We don’t want you opening an account you won’t use”. Refuses to cash a check that is drawn on their bank. That's MY money, it has MY name on it, and they refused to give my rightful property to me. Absolutely ridiculus!!!
