I recently had a debit card that was compromised so I went to the Orrstown Branch in York New Salem. I was going to ask one of the tellers what to do next. The Branch Manager, Wanda Hartlaub saw me and called me into her office to help me personally. She was immediately empathetic to my situation and acknowledged how inconvenient such things are. I was a Peoples Bank client for 15 years. I like to use a community bank as Warren Buffet has enough money.Since the merger of equals I found out Peoples Bank was better service wise . The website greets you that Orrstown may not cover you for certain types of fraud and you may be liable. Getting customer service on the telephone is a nightmare now but that's the entire country . I hear that the Peoples former CEO Mr Kauffman will eventually take over at Orrstown? Well it can't come sooner. I'll give it a year to get better.... read more

This was the best bank ever ! WAS …. Since the merger they have really messed up big time ! The manager , who is the heart of the branch and a credit to the entire company was forced to take a lesser position . The rest of the staff is devastated and the morale has plummeted . This is still in its infancy and It’s not seeming to get better . This branch is amazing!!! The staff is topnotch!!! The bank itself is so so.
