Had 2 different experiences with the Dixwell Avenue branch (which I will not detail here) that have since led me to drive all the way out to the Mount Carmel branch, where they have competent staff and management.
I have banked at People's for as long as I can remember - a long time. I primarily banked at the Woodbridge CT office and was pleased with their service and smarts. I switched to the Hamden CT branch, Dixwell Hamden Mart. I am not happy with this branch. Starting with the outside: the handicapped parking spaces are close to the building on the left. The sidewalk inclines but there is a shrub to the left that while trimmed has one side over the path to the front door. Anyone in a wheel chair would not be able to negotiate ent... read more
