I recently visited this pediatric office with my 3-year-old child and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. Some of the staff seemed uncomfortable working with children and struggled to communicate effectively in a pediatric setting. After waiting months to receive blood test results, 3 hours before my daughter’s appointment, they called and left a VM to cancel the appt. When I called back, the scheduler told me that I won’t be able to get back in till 3 months later. Absolutely ridiculous, when THEY canceled 3 hours before an appt. We transferred here from a family practice thinking our kids would get better care from a pediatrician. We have come to find that the opposite is true. At first we loved the idea of the walk-in clinic, but then that closed. The office seems disorganized and there always seems to be a mix-up of sorts. Some of the staff are wonderful, but some seem to not enjoy children(this was the whole reason we picked a pediatric practice. At least pretend to like kids!). Not that I'm a fan of Penn State or anything but we go here because we found an amazing doctor here for our kid named Dr. Fugate. Extremely satisfied with him. Great Dr. and person.
If you need paperwork completed, they said it can take 7-10 days to be filled out. Even if it’s just one form. God forbid your child doesn’t have insurance and need something filled out, you’re SOL.
