Our Dad was in Highland hospital diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer. His safe discharge plan was to a skilled nursing facility for end of life palliative care. It was a terrifying situation, but we were so incredibly blessed that Dad landed in Penfield Place. Our immediate first impression was the facility is well maintained and clean. My 83 year old mother broke her hip and needed rehab after leaving the hospital. The care she received at Penfield Place was wonderful! The staff were all professional and well trained. Every staff member that we interacted with was knowledgeable, professional, kind and respectful. The OT and PT are excellent at motivating their clients. We would highly recommend this small, renovated , rehab facility!
In January 2021, I needed to find assisted living for my mom. I had called several communities without any luck—until Meghan Fix came to my rescue! She immediately made calls on my behalf and went above and beyond to help. Meghan is considerate, caring, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. Over the years, I’ve continued to reach out to her for guidance. Even though my mom has never been under her direct care, Meghan always answers my calls and offers amazing advice and support. Thank you, Meghan, for being such a treasure!
My mother went to Penfield Place for rehab. Everyone there was wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about the physical Therapist Sandy. She got mom up and walking multiple times a day. No 20 minute rehab and sit in your room the rest of the day here! I would highly recommend Penfield Place for rehab!
Absolutely horrible place. If I could rate this 0 stars I would. The nurses have no care for the well being of the residents. The nurses leave the residents with literal feces underneath their finger nails and do not attend to them. They also push the residents causing harm. Do your loved ones a favor and stay away from this terrible place as this will be where they spend the rest of there life.
