I had a very frustrating experience with PenFed. The first time I tried to open a checking account, I was told the only issue was that my credit score needed to be above a certain range. I worked hard to improve my credit and got it above the number they gave me. When I returned, I was suddenly told they couldn’t open the accounts because of a delinquent account from months ago.
