This was our first experience riding e-bikes and it could not have gone any better! We booked the tour for Sunday and our tour guide was Amy. When the 7 of us us arrived, 3 adults and 4 kids ages 14, 11, 9 and 1 1/2, Eric had all the bikes and baby seat ready and set outside for our arrival. There were 4 of us that took the tour around the island. We had the best time! Jay was great. But it can be a little strenuous if you are pedaling. We all took advantage of the electric throttle! Saw some great sites like America Beach and the old bridge and road some great bike paths. Only two road crossings, so minimal stress with traffic. Recommend wholeheartedly!
This is definitely something you want to do while you’re in Amelia Island. The tour guide Amy was awesome, She told us what was going on on the island and the history. Somewhat of a mixed bag review, we had a great time out on the bikes, rented them for a 2 day rental, got the bikes on Tuesday around 10 am or so and had to have them back before 3:30pm on Wednesday. Ideally we should have had to have them back on Thursday am but that was not their policy. That’s not a 2 day rental at all. Also, while we were out, a bracket fell of the seat of 1 of the bikes and the seat fell off, when we returned the bike we really didn’t get much of an apology at all.
This place is excellent! The owners are great and we rent from them every time we are in town! Their bikes are a blast and we highly recommend trying them out! Electric bikes are the way to get around Amelia Island. Love Pedigo Bikes!
