Go here if you’re a bike packer or cycle tourist. This place is fantastic. I stopped here after a crash, my front bearings and housing needed a fix. They’ve done a perfect job, not a problem since on the route from brisbane to cairns.
Dave is a top bloke. I'm only in Gympie for the holidays and so I picked up an old BMX to give me something to ride while I'm here (and to give me an excuse to avoid the mother-in-law). I got it mostly going by myself, but the headset wouldn't tighten, and I couldn't get rid of a wobble in the rear wheel. So I went to Dave's shop 30 minutes before he closed up before Christmas, and he got it sorted out real quick.
