I've recently ordered for the second year in a row. I called on a Sunday to leave a message and was surprised to get Jackson (the owner) on the phone. He was very helpful and shipped my order the next day. I've been using it to patch holes from my dog and slowly replace my small existing lawn which is quite shady. I haven't had any problems with germination or growth and am quite pleased with the results. I will definitely keep a bag around as long as I have pets.
We planted this grass under less than optimum conditions. We'd kept it all summer and then put it down in an area of new construction in June and hoped for the best. We didn't have much expectation that it would survive. We were so surprised to see it sprouting after no special treatment! It continues to grow and we are going to plant a major area in front of our lodge to prevent erosion into the lake. We love that it needs so little water and mowing. This year's seed does not have the chemical additives needed to sustain rapid root development necessary for the seed to live up to advertised claims. AVOID THIS PRODUCT AT ALL COSTS.
I've been using this grass seed for decades now since it was first recommended by Bob Vila. It's amazing grass !!!!
