We have a hard time leaving our loved ones in the care of others. Human nature. My father has had complications with extreme dementia that took away his ability to take care of himself. When living from home is not an option, Peakview Memory Care has been a breath of fresh air. Nikki, her team and the nursing staff on the memory care side have been phenomenal. Lilia Rodriguez in the salon takes excellent care of my mother. She does her hair and nails weekly and even gave her a perm recently after my mom saw another resident that had one done by Lilia. She loves it! Lilia is warm and caring and has made friends with my mom. I live out of state and she keeps me updated on my mom. I told Lilia I was coming to town to surprise my mom and Lilia came in on her day off to do mom’s hair for the occasion and to see her reaction when I came in. My Mom has been at Peakview for 6 1/2 years now. Through this period of her life, I couldn't have chosen a better place or encountered more delightful Care Staff. My Mom lived on the AL side for 6 years and participated in many of the outings, the art projects and various entertainment that were offered. Peakview has become one of the most disappointing places I’ve ever had to deal with, especially considering how much trust families put in them to care for their loved ones. The main problem starts with the coordinator, Remy, who seems to spend more time chatting behind closed doors than actually doing her job.
