Very beautiful 55+ community. Close to all kinds of shopping and 7 miles to the Oceanside Marina. Quiet, pride of ownership!
I’ve lived here for years and in my opinion the Board does not get the big picture of what is important to handle and resolve and what is a minor matter. They spend hours “spinning their wheels.” Most have been on the Board for so long they are out of touch. The community would be better served without a 55+ qualification. Home values would go up and the City would be more involved in violations that actually need to be addressed and provide better security. The Peacock Hills 55+ community is a great one for those who hope for lower home prices as well as super low monthly HOA fee obligations. There is a nice mix of two bedroom homes with one or two bathrooms, and the lot sizes are generous for 55+ community standards, so those who wish to garden might love it here. All of the homes have one-car garages and large shared driveways. The entire neighborhood has sidewalk lined streets making getting exercise easy. Shopping is within walking distance.
I have lived here in the Peacock Hills Retirement 55+ community for 3 weeks now. I am currently renting out (one room with a shared bathroom). This Peacock Hills Retirement Community is a housing area that consists of duplexes. The only thing, I see that I like is the rent is much cheaper out here versus when was I renting out (a room with a private bathroom) in the Oceana Community Association which is also a Retirement Community. I have been living at the Peacock Hills Community Duplex Neighborhood for one month now . I am renting a room in the property owners duplex. This place is really boring I don’t see any fun activities to do here versus when I live in the Oceana Retirement Community Association. Also the weather conditions out here is extremely hot because the Peacock Hills Area is far away from the coast beach breezes.
