We pre-booked a car rental over a week in advance. When we arrived, they not only didn’t have the car size we requested (the only reason we chose this site as it advertised mid sized SUVs), they had no cars available to rent whatsoever. The guy behind the counter held up his finger to me as he finished a personal call on speaker for 2 min. Then told me they had no cars even for pre-bookings. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I reserved a van for spring break over a month ago. I called the company two weeks ago to confirm the reservation. I received an email two days ago from them confirming my reservation. I showed up on the day of pickup and the worker told me that they had no cars and they canceled my reservation. Our rental smelled like a houka lounge. It was nasty. The gas tank was only half full, contrary to the rental agreement. The tires needed inflated. One of the headlights did not work. Clearly these cars are poorly maintained, and rarely cleaned, if ever. You may pay less with Payless Overland Park, but it will cost you more. I would strongly urge anyone considering renting here to look elsewhere.
