Mr. OK here's what you need to know about Payless: 1) you will have a 20 min wait for the shuttle bus to show up and take you to the rental lot. 2) be the LAST one on the bus so that you can be the FIRST one off. The first guy off the bus is the first guy in line at the rental car office!! 3) they don't have Full size cars on the lot. They just don't have any! Ford Tauraus is really a Ford Fusion. Business professional I never write reviews but as someone who travels more than 100,000 miles annually across the U.S., Payless in Denver is the worst rental car company I've ever dealt with. They give ZERO heads up on their onerous toll charges, and the idiot from Jamaica who rented me my car tried to twist my arm to buy insurance I didn't want or need. Pay more at Payless. I rented a car for a week, told them specifically when I would be back even including my return flight number. It was 5 days and a few hours after pickup. The clerk entered it into the computer as 5 days instead of a week and I didnât notice because the price was the same. When I dropped it off I was charged for an extra day despite the fact that the rules call a âweekâ 5-7 days. DO NOT USE- EVER!!!!!! If I could give it a zero I would!!!! The scam additional charges onto your account and when you drop your car off they have charged over double what is originally quoted!!!! Unethical and fraudulent!!!!Shame on you Payless- you should be ashamed!
BUYER BEWARE Worst service, lousy cars, they may be the cheapest but I would rather pay $10.00 extra to ensure piece of mind and good service. The receptionist was rude, and it took over 45 minutes to get a rental in front of the line !! I will never rent from Payless again !!!
Payless, Get less... As with previous complaint, I was quoted >$30 a day and wound up paying almost $50 ($297 for a five-day rental). This was without ANY of their insurance "schemes" as they are all covered by my personal auto insurance. Car (midsized) was a little rough, but serviceable. Terrible Experience w/ Payless Car Rental We had a terrible experience as well. After we paid our dues when returend the car, there was an extra charge of $66 appearing on my credit card in addition to what we had already paid which I am disputing its validity. May be it is their way of making money. I will also complain about them to DOT. Not to mention the Payless gave us a 2008 car with lots of miles on it. Payless-Phoenix Avoid Payless car rental in Phoenix. Incredibly long lines unlike any other vendor in the common car rental building. No good explanation other than they're not prepared to handle all of the reservations they accept.
