Absolutely terrible experience. I prepaid my rental through Booking.com and was told the $250 charge on my card was only a security deposit. After returning the vehicle on time and refueling it immediately before drop-off, I was charged nearly $50 for fuel anyway. I have the fuel receipt proving I filled the tank. To make matters worse, I never received the final rental receipt I was promised, making it difficult to even understand the charge. Worst experience I have ever had at a rental car place. They have zero idea what is going on. It actually blows my mind that I’m this stupid to rent from them.

Pay attention to your receipt. When I reserved a car I declined their coverage. After I returned the vehicle I found a $197 charge on my credit card. They're claiming its for their insurance coverage that I declined. I was never email an agreement nor a receipt, but I did receive an email inviting me to take a survey.

I rented a car from Payless Car Rental in Albuquerque for a week. The car smelled of cigarette smoke when I picked it up, and I reported it. I drove only a few miles and returned it in the same condition. Weeks later, a $125 cleaning fee appeared on my credit card. The low weekly rate was wiped out by this unexpected charge. I will not rent with this company again.
