Absolutely Awful Experience – DO NOT RENT FROM PAYLESS I had a terrible experience with Payless Car Rental in Albuquerque and would strongly advise others to avoid them at all costs. unfortunately it is not possible to give 0 stars. Don't rent a car from Payless, they are horrible! I rented a car for 63 days, I paid in advance, the day I went to pick it up I waited almost 3 hours but until then everything was fine, I was patient and tried to be understanding. I returned the car a week early and got a surprise: they charged me an extra $1814.96. Never ever ever rent from Budget/ Payless car rental. After waiting 1/2 hour at PBI car rental counter we were told that we did not need to wait there but we should have gotten on the shuttle to the off-premise office. When we arrived at the office it was total chaos. Over an hour later we are still waiting to be checked in. They are severely understaffed and from what I am hearing there are more customers than cars. Next time we will be renting from Avis. Update... Very good
Very disappointed in Payless, online it stated there was no credit card needed, so I booked and payed in full online, when I got to the store they said I can’t have the car without a credit card (I don’t have one and it’s the only reason I booked with them because it said you don’t need one) and now they won’t refund, even though it’s 100% their own mistake, very very disappointed, I will never use them or recommend them to anyone! Terrible customer service experience, and a lot of money wasted! Not happy at all!
