Rented Tesla in Maui. It was very damaged and dirty but the worst part is we were signed up for all of the optional insurance etc without our consent.
If I could leave a negative 5 star I would!! After waiting for over an hour in line, we got a key finally. Hiked downstairs & out to the garage in 100+° heat only to open the door of the car which was parked in the wrong slot. Hubby found a bag of someone's take out food in the back seat that may have been there baking for awhile. I started to get in the passenger seat but almost hurled 3 times as the strong smell of pot & rotting food eminated from the car!! Should have just let it happen in the car! Stay FAR away from this company if booking a rental for business travel. If you do, make sure you DO NOT LEAVE THE AIRPORT WITHOUT A PRINTED RECEIPT. If they tell you the receipt will be sent to your email, do not believe them, they are lying. Trying to get a receipt from the website is a useless endeavor, as you'll just have your tickets closed saying it was sent, with no receipt hitting your inbox. Calling the customer service number will connect you to people that can't help you, and will try to transfer you to AVIS custo... read more
Horrible company. Don’t ever book with them. Only reason I did was because the Army made me pick the cheapest one. They put me on a waitlist because they didn’t have cars available. 2 hour wait, and that’s what they said, I don’t know how long it’s gonna actually take. But after a long day of flying you don’t want to sit around for two hours and wait for a car…. Think twice before you use Payless
