Reserve and pay ahead of time online weeks ahead of time and wait over an hour in line to pick up the rental. 1:30 in the afternoon and most of the time only one agent helping customers. Call center is absolutely no help. I would never recommend.
The classic bait and switch. Reserved a mid-sized truck and they tried to pass off a Hyundai Santa Cruz as one, which it clearly isn’t not. Forced us to pay an upgrade fee to get what we reserved in the first place, only to receive a dirty vehicle that clearly has mechanical issues (shift interlock?) as it is nearly impossible to get out of park. Believe the other ratings online, as I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy as a rental option in SLC.
We rented a car in Seattle and Maria was very helpful with going over details on the rental car! We will be going back and renting from Payless in the future

At Salt Lake City Airport, UTAH...Customer service location was fine. Service was good. However...we had to wait in line over an hour before getting our turn in line, which is why the 4 Stars :( Rental: 2026 4x4 Jeep Compass with leather seating was great for the 3 of us w 3 pieces of luggage (1 lrg, 2 rollies) and 3 backpacks...a 4th adult in the back seat area w their stuff would still be fine.
