I was given the pleasure of being allocated by Legal Aid to Cilla Brookes in my Family Law court case. Despite the short amount of time she had to take on my case and take it to trial, Cilla committed herself to trying to get me the best outcome. She was very friendly and I felt that she had my best interest in mind. I am so very grateful for all the work she did for me. I wish her all the best luck and success in her career.
I had Glenys Jardine appointed under the 102NA scheme and the experience was appalling. She attempted to pressure me into negotiating immediately before trial, despite the matter being listed to proceed. It was obvious she wanted the matter resolved quickly, not properly — particularly as 102NA barristers are paid whether the case runs or not. Pierre is absolutely one of a kind. Despite time constraints, he listened carefully, explained everything clearly, and guided me with patience, wisdom, and genuine care. His calm, compassionate presence turned what could have been an overwhelming court day into an empowering experience.
