I organized a solo trip (a pilgrimage really) from Utah to Beaufort, SC just to visit the literary center. Susie was the highly knowledgeable docent who walked me through all of the wonderful memorabilia and highlights of Pat Conroy’s life and career. What a beautiful way to memorialize one of the true southern greats. Don’t miss your chance to experience it if you’re in the lowcountry.
