Here's what's happened over the past 25 years. They got rid of the classic hard cardboard cigar boxes and replaced them with flimsy thin paper ones. Also the individual cigars in a five pack don't have the cardboard backing, just cellophane wrapping that's difficult to remove and the cigars are easy to crush. They change their website design so often it's hard to find anything. It seems the price increase is more frequent. Very disappointed. I bought a couple boxes of Avanti at a local smoke shop in Mountaintop PA and took them away with me on a trip to share with a group of co-workers. I was embarrassed because when we opened them they literally disintegrated. Dry as a bone and amazingly smaller than I remember. I went back to the smoke shop a week later for other cigars and let her know about the Avanti’s and she stated that was odd because they come every week. I had the pleasure of speaking with Ariana today, as I do each month to place my father's cigar order. It's truly sad and disappointing to hear that some people complain about these cigars just so they can get a discount or free items. I have been smoking, Parodi, regular and parodi kings for about 28 years. Unfortunately, I am giving up on them ever since they moved their rolling to the Dominican republic. I get dry cigars with holes and cracks in the wrapper they will not draw. They were a great treat in a cigar. I enjoyed all the time I am extremely extremely disappointed.
