Late last year I looked at moving my 86 year old mother from Mississauga to Ajax so she could be closer to me. She had been recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and she wanted her independence but needed to have me near to help her. If you are looking for respite care, as advertised don’t bother with Parkland. Was shown empty suites with no furniture even though I had requested short term respite care. Dean really was looking for a long term care deal. There was only one furnished unit used as a storage room. Really? Lost my business. Seems you are more interested in $$ than care. Try Amica. They are amazing.

Such a great condo and community, the staff pay such attention to every detail, my Mom loves all they offer. So many amenities, it’s like living in a hotel.
High prices and bad service. I do not recommend this retirement facility to anyone. While the building and apartments are impressive, the service is not. We were there for two weeks and gave our notice to move out. The care is severely lacking. We were only there 2 days when the problems started. My mother called a PSW to go to bed at 11pm(she was on the assisted living floor) with someone finally showing up at 12:30pm. When my mother asked what took so long, the PSW started yelling at her.
