fun products, kind of uncomfortable visit Great products, but staff acted like they were doing us a favor by being in the store. Maybe because it's a relatively small store, but I felt the people behind the register were just staring at me until I moved to the back. That being said, I like the store because it offers something different than Hallmark.
First Review Nonsense The first woman who reviewed here could not be more wrong. The owner and his wife are about the nicest people from whom we regularly purchase. Our daughter loves the place. I suspect the woman who had the problem was being far more disruptive with her daughter than she tells us. "Not in anyone's way". Yeah. Right. We've all seen THAT type with her kids. They are always angry and stunned when someone won't let their kid do whatever he or she wants. The Paper Merchanr is great. Period.
Customer service? Their stuff is cute, but the owner is so rude. He has a toy area with a bucket of balls on the floor. My 15 month old was picking them up and dropping them on the floor and my 5 year old was picking them up. We weren't in anyone's way, and we didn't break anything. But, within 2 minutes, the owner came over and yelled at my sons, making my older boy burst into tears. We won't go back there because of him.
Great for gifts, cards and more... Paper Merchant is a great example of one of the many unique shops in downtown Geneva. They have wonderful stationary for any occasion, along with a great selection of jewelry and gifts. Also a good place to go if you're looking for a fun greeting card.
Great place for invitations/announcements We had our wedding invitations done here and later birth announcements. They have an amazing selection and the staff knows everything about printing. There are also great gift ideas here.
Fine papers The paper Merchant is really the place to go if you are looking for good quality papers or stationary. Their merchandise is beauitful and you can even find things like pre-cut cards (to print on) with matching envelopes. This is good if you want to print your own invitation (wedding, birthday etc.). They are pricey though-- we paid $20 for 50 cards/invitations.
Unique invitiations & stationary A beautiful store filled with clever wrapping paper, unique invitations and stellar jewelry. Another house on Third Street, it offers trendy and classical gifts and stationary. They offer custom printing and wedding invitations. Great sales and perfect for a customer who wants to be totally outrageous and set apart fro mthe rest.
