Great people...great service
The Panola County tax assessor/collector, David Garner, uses the most aggressive tax collection techniques I've ever encountered. The appraiser rides around in a an expensive Suburban, dressed up like a police cruiser, and makes multiple, unwelcome trips onto people's property, snooping around and looking for something to tax somebody for. Seriously, how many visits does it take to see that you have a house, a carport, and a shed? They go out of their way to look threatening.
