Best gaming store, bookstore, and geek hangout in Boston THE STORE HAS MOVED! It's now at 4 Pleasant Street, Central Square. After 10 years of book recommendations, I have never been sold a book I didn't like. Unlike online stores, the staff is knowledgeable about their subjects and cares about their customers. The new location in Central Square rocks and has events practically every night. If you're a gamer, you know Pandemonium. If you don't, your friends do.
sci-fi / fantasty books and games Pandemonium Books and Games can be found in the garage at Harvard Square. That is the same building that Newbury comics is in. It is your quintessential nerd store. Complete with tons of science fiction and fantasy novels, role playing games, action figures, etc. Fun for a look or to take your nerd friends there.
great for odd gifts My parents love to do the crossword puzzle together and they are always running out of puzzles, so I tried this store to see if they have any books of crossword puzzles. It turned out that they had quite an impressive selection and a very knowledgeable sales person to help me pick out the right book. Now I stop by this store every couple of weeks and get my parents a new book. They love it.
Well well well, another listing that has at least one wrong place of business associated with it! They must be playing so much magic and D&D that some one there must have used a transportation spell! I wish that some of the people who hang out here would use more of that thing called, what is it? Oh yes, deodorant! (I think you need alchemy for that) And the magical thing that happened there was that I got lost in Mordor!
