The Palms Lifecare & Village were instrumental in providing care for dad, and saw him out with the dignity and support that he deserved. The facilities and staff are of the highest level and provide the standard of care expected.
DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES IN THIS REST HOME!!
My grandfather had to go to Palms lifecare. I have never experienced such lack of care, compassion or understanding for family or patients. They can't handle their patients so over sedate them, literally killing them from dehydration and starvation. The place is filthy, unstaffed and horrific. I saw patients being yelled at, forgotten in the toilet, constantly missing meals, cruel nurses treating patients like I have never experienced and this is how is was while I was there. This is with regards to the day programme they offer. I'm not sure if it's a knowledge thing or lack of it or a funding thing but either way the "care" they provide is not there. They only accept "easy" people and if your loved one needs extra support then this is not the place for them. Personally I've not met such rude uncaring providers of care before. I dropped my dad off one day and did not want to leave him. I wouldn't leave the fleas of my dogs here so why would my dad stay. What they provide is not meeting the needs ... read more
