I had hands down the worst experience with Oz Moving & Storage — ranging from being lied to and bullied and having items ruined. I was mis-sold services by the sales rep Bill (who is no longer with the company). He told me various untrue things that would be part of my moving package, including that the company had HQ and storage facilities in San Francisco, that Oz Moving was familiar with San Francisco in general regarding city ordinances, and that my items would be stored in San Francisco and not New York City. OZ MOVING LOST MY MATTRESS AND OFFERED NO SOLUTION WITH SKETCHY, CASH ONLY POLICY I had a very small, simple move from NY to Chicago. Only had 9 boxes, a desk / chair and mattress. Upon delivery from the local movers, the driver insisted I pay CASH only, which I found sketchy. After I called Oz for over 45 minutes to confirm with no answer, I had no choice but to pay the driver over $500 in cash (Oz later told me this was against their policy). Today, Oz Moving company delivered my furniture. We had initially set a virtual walkthrough to get an estimate. Once they came to pack our stuff, they charged us $2,500 more than the estimate, which means you cannot trust their estimate process. While packing, after I bought the crew lunch and was throwing the trash away, I saw they had broken glassware and had not bothered to mention it or to tell us.
