Absolutely terrible with children who need extra support. As soon as a child shows dysregulation, they refuse to work with them anymore. They were chosen specifically because they stated they were able to handle neurodivergent kids or those who require additional support, but they instead started making medical diagnoses in direct conflict with actual medical professionals. Very inappropriate suggestions and very non-inclusive thinking. Strongly suggest avoiding them.
They don’t specialize in neurodivergence, despite their claims. They get overwhelmed and “lack the resources” to support a kid when he’s not able to focus and complains things are too easy. Then they tried to diagnose my son, contrary to what his medical doctors have stated, insisting they had tutors on staff who were “taking university courses” on diagnosing kids. The tutors appear to only want to work with neuro-typical individuals and do not have supports in place for kids who don’t ”fit the mold”.
Since the eighth grade, I have been a valued student at Oxford Learning. Their exceptional team has been instrumental in my academic success, enabling me to achieve my highest level of performance academically. My daughter’s reading has improved tremendously thanks to the tutoring at this center. The teacher is very professional and knows how to motivate and engage children in their learning. The class schedule is also very flexible, which makes it easy for us to arrange lessons. Highly recommended!
Since joining, my child’s confidence and academic performance have improved significantly.
