Im sure their wood is good and all but why is the public street SE Main St from 4th St South to 5th St used as their lumber yard? On numerous occasions when I lived down there I could not get through due to forklifts and piles of wood on the street. Forklifts are also always crossing busy 4th st. Its not safe or to be driving forklifts in the street blocking the roads and crossing traffic. When I passed them the other day unloading the semi truck I waved and they glared at me like I was in their way on the public road.
Yard workers are nice and store is clean and very well organized
Called about some special 9ft T1-11 siding & was told it was in stock. Called back to confirm, so I wouldn’t waste a trip from Blue Springs and was told “yes, we have it”. Got there and found out the price is 3X what Menards sells it for AND when begrudgingly paid, I went to load up and stock boy said “sorry, we don’t have any 9ft.” ?!? Got my refund and NO apology. I am all for supporting local business and this yard reminds me of the small town yard my grandfather owned, but this experience was infuriating.
