Their rates are the highest I've seen, which is why I use them for investments only. Their customer service is great, but it can take a while to get in touch with someone. Yes, their security practices (such as locking you out of your account after 90 days if inactivity) seem a bit odd and harsh. Yes, their website looks old and can be a pain in the ass. However, all of my money is guaranteed (unlike every major bank), and the rates can't be beat. If you have money to sit and gain interest, this is the place to do it.
Same problem as others. Locked out of account. I did call in and they said my secret word is wrong and IT IS NOT. Will never let me access my account. I guess they keep all my money. Nothing I can do. They asked me my birthdate and I told them. They said it was wrong. I think I know when my own birthdate is. Should be reported to police or ?? I don't know who. Maybe I'll report it to Revenue Canada. UPDATE: It is now Dec 2025 and they have just kept my money.

If I could give this JOKE of a so called ‘financial institution’ ZERO stars I would! I have been ‘working’ on opening a checking account for about 3 MONTHS and due to Outlook Financial not having their act together it’s been a series of delays .For example one of their agents called me (I live in a different province from Winnipeg) to tell me that I needed to pay a $5 membership fee and to mail them a cheque. Outlook locks your account after just 90 days with no online option to unlock it. To regain access, you're forced to guess the answer to a security question for which they don’t even tell you. In my case, I had to send some sort of letter just to get my account restored. It’s clear from countless reviews that account access is a major issue, yet management continues to ignore this feedback, which is incredibly frustrating.
