Manager is owner's dtr and steals from all stores. HORRIBLE rats in Poplar store. Snobby owners and way overpriced. SHOP ELSEWHERE

The Great Outdoors I love to go to Outdoors, Inc. I get most of my camping and paddling equipment there. I've gotten ski jackets, too. They have everything you'd need for most outdoor pursuits and the sales associates are very helpful and knowledgeable. You can get info about different outdoor groups, too. The only drawback is that some stuff is expensive (like Northface), but I guess that's expected for this type of store.

????? I have never got worst service in my whole life! I ordered a backpack to Antigua Guatemala via FedEx only to find our, after I already paid, that my package is being shipped via USPS (which cost 15$ less, money I never got back...). I was promised that this is the safest way and that the package will get to the exect address I gave within 3-5 days. Eventually I got it after two weeks, after I needed to go to Guatemala City on my own (wich cost extra 20$ and took 4 hours!) to get it from there. When I complained I was t... read more

Terrible bordering on deceptive. I ordered a jacket and received an order confirmation. The next day I received an email saying it was back ordered. I asked how long, and was told "maybe spring" but they didn't know. Three days later the same jacket is still listed as in stock and available for purchase on their website. Just really bad all around. I'd also give them 0 stars if possible.

Go buy your stuff online! – I wish I could give 0 stars, but I can't. I have shopped at outdoors for several years. I went in today to BUY a new pair of ski boots for my upcoming trip. The guy behind the counter tried to charge me $25 just to try on a pair! I told him I'd rather save my money and buy elsewhere if they were going to be like that. I called the store later on to ask about this charge, because frankly, I've never heard of doing this unless you are getting custom fit for a boot. The man I spoke to on the phone li... read more
