I bought a cover almost 6 years ago and it did a great job protecting our dining set on the patio, against rain, storms, snow, ice, +40 and -40 C, high intense sun, bird's gifts, name it. Also, I have been using the straps with buckles to prevent the all set to fly away during wind storms (we are right by a lake).
