A facility for seniors as well as others in need of full time care. The place is well set up with staff who are professional and helpful. Some nuns also reside in the building near the chapel. The place is nice and quiet even though its quite close to the Great Western Highway and M4. Its a bit of a rabbit warren but one you get used to the place its easy to get around.
What is the daily routine for the elderly
This is a fabulous aged care facility. My mum was in the St Clare Wing and we couldn't have wished for a better place for her. The care provided by the nursing staff and assistants was top notch and they treated Mum with respect and dignity at all times. The room was spacious and very clean. My mum loved being there and told me everyday how much she appreciated the staff. We highly recommend Our Lady of Consolation Rooty Hill Aged Care Facility.
Do not, and I repeat DO NOT put your loved one in this facility if they have dementia or any kind of cognitive impairment. They will admit them, then kick them out pretty quickly if they are aggressive in any way. They will then be at the mercy of an already overloaded hospital system as no other homes will take them due to the incident report generated. Awful, disgraceful and absolutely appalling experience for my poor mother who was there for only 5 days...I would give them minus 5 if I could!!
