Have had the worst experiences with this bank. I would close all my accounts if I could. Deposited a check and they put a hold on half of it, understandable. Then I went to the store to buy some groceries just to see that an hour later they changed it and are now holding the entire thing after I had already paid some bills and shopped. Why a check needs to be on hold for an entire week is ridiculous.
That have me a $1000.00 and I had no credit. It's fast and monthly payments affordable.
I've been with OUCU for years. I prefer to bank locally. But. For a small town bank, I'm dismayed by how little the bank cares about their customers, especially their lower income patrons. The NSF fees are higher than some corporate banks. That's embarrassing, and it really makes it harder for those of us who are struggling to get out of debt. You can do better. If you don't, you will lose customers, sadly.
I have had an account here for 45 years. Very helpful and convenient to access.
After nearly 40 years with OUCU it is time for me to go. Used to you got excellent customer service and low fees. Now if you have a problem or question you are on hold for many many minutes, and fees and costs have increased substantially. I have been slowly transitioning to Ally and when I have had an issue or a question the phone call is answered in no more than a minute.
