Okay, after 3 attempts, on 3 different occasions, we are finally convinced that Otto's can't make a decent cake. As pretty as they are (decorations are always spot on), they taste pretty bad. It's remarkable how a sponge layer can be stale and wet at the same time. Whatever they use to hydrate those cake layers just isn't good. The quality of the bake isn't good. In fact, they taste worse than Woollies mud cakes, and are triple the price. Shame really, they are gorgeous on the inside.
