I purchased a screen protector from OtterBox back in September, and at the time I was clearly told that it included free replacements and free installation. When I recently returned to get a replacement, I was informed there would now be a $10 installation fee. I had a horrible experience. It now costs $10 for their employees to install the screen protector replacements when it use to be free. Also, the employee proceeded to argue that my case was fine and did not give me a case replacement… so much for a lifetime warranty. I do not recommend going here. These products are overpriced and Otterbox’s warranty went to garbage.
The screen protector installation is more than worth the $10. The service is always friendly, the install is done right, and it saves me the hassle. OtterBox has always stood by their warranty and replaced products for me multiple times for free over the years. Easy choice to make to support a local business.
No reason to return. I’m not a big fan of their cases to begin with, but it was nice to have the screen protector replacement program. Granted the screen protectors aren’t the best, it’s nice knowing when it breaks (typically in a week or two) that I can go get a new screen protector installed without being charged. Now, they charge $10 to install the already sub par product. Peace out otter box.
No reason to go shop here anymore. I use to be OK paying the higher prices for the protection glass, because they installed it too. Now they won’t do that without a 10$ surcharge. No reason to go here anymore. You can buy similar and as good products off Amazon and install it yourself for 1/4 the price.
